The month kicked off with my birthday including a visit from older son & DIL, all family fun dinner, a visit to SF MOMO and more. There was lots of dog and additional family time, lovely walks outdoors, better persistence with exercising and getting household chores and small projects done. Lots of books read too of course.
I enjoyed the month and feel more settled with the house and yard than I have since we moved here 3 1/2 years ago.
Now onward to October starting with our son, DIL & 2 grandgirls staying with us for 3 days while work on their house is finished. Going for 2 to 6 people in the house is going to be both fun and exhausting! I'm glad we can do it.
October has a couple of art related outings on the calendar plus a couple of family things so far. Lots of self care/health stuff plus a good sized list of house, yard, tech, life admin and long distance family/future family activities as goals. I am pondering if I should take clean the car inside of the list and hire the 2 neighbor boys who charge $40 but do a very thorough job of it! I suspect I will.
What are your plans for October?

Sounds like you have a busy October planned! My main goal is to get my front door fixed, but also to have a peaceful month going into the holidays. Getting small jobs done. Starting up my walking again. Reading more books.
ReplyDeleteHaving that door fixed will be a nice step forward. And a peaceful month sounds lovely. You have been an inspiration for getting small house & yard things done but we do need to get moving on the last of the bigger house ones.
DeleteFall is a good time to get house stuff done. I'm a bit frustrated as Barclay always did the yard and weatherproofed the house for winter. Some stuff will need to get hired out when I can afford it.
ReplyDeleteWe have split up those kind of chores too. I'm slowly learning what my husband does but suspect I couldn't do many of the routine maintenance things.
ReplyDeleteGetting the house and yard ready for winter. I am processing tomatoes still, as well as pumpkins. Harvey is busy in the yard trying to finish off a few things.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
We had rain earlier and cooler temps for the next few days. Carey has been working in the fall garden, planting a couple of new things radishes and I think butternut squash, along with some of the same from summer garden. We will see how things go. I wish we could block political texts. SO many this year!
