Does anyone have a great, tasty, not too unhealthy recipe for a delicious coffee cake for an Easter brunch?
The ones that captured the eye of the hostess were a sour cream crumb cake with mega calories and a huge number of servings - we both agree that was out. Another was a banana cake roll up that looked challenging to make.

I just figure I scacrifice on Easter and make sure everything else is healthy and either fruit or high protein. Seriously though, had the hostess thought of a yeaast bread like a braid or something that she could even make with whole wheat partially if desired? A challah kind of thing?
ReplyDeleteActually, I am bringing the coffee cake and need to make it the day before as we are spending the night. Your suggestion sounds good though.
DeleteI have never ever had anything but 100% success with any Cooking Light recipe I've made. Here is a link to a variety of their lightened up coffee cakes: http://www.cookinglight.com/food/recipe-finder/coffee-cake-recipes
ReplyDeleteThey are always chock full of flavor in spite of having the calories lightened up. They are not Weight Watchers, they are more focused on fresh and flavorful.
DeleteThose all look delicious - thanks.
