It was very quiet on our block with half the houses empty due to vacations or new owners not having moved in yet. Not that it is ever very noisy. Plus our son and family are gone on vacation.
On top of that I’ve had a run of low energy days so not much happening here. I have managed to take longer walks without the dog and get him to walk faster at least some of his walks. I know his joy is in the sniffing and marking plus interacting with other dogs, cats and humans though so he gets plenty of that too.
1. The pup really enjoyed his short car ride and outing to a different city park. He energetically walked around the park with his nose to the ground and lots of marking of trees but totally ignored the little pond with ducks, ducklings and turtles. An extra long nap when we came home to process all the sensory input. While the dry season lasts we will be making an effort to take him more places to explore as it really enhances his life.
2. It may be the dry season, but fog has been very frequent in our part of the East Bay. It is pretty to see the sun make its way through it though.
3. Does anyone else hang on to clothes for too long? I put a few away and if I don't pull them out in the next couple of months they are leaving the house. Part of it is I really dislike shopping for clothes to replace ones that really need to go for various reasons.
4. Stuck with our menu plan so far this week although it didn’t really reduce our grocery shopping as we keep a supply of things so replace when they were used.
5. I'm keeping up with our yard work by doing a little at a time as it is pretty low maintenance. Tuesday we bought 3 bags of the fir bark mulch we use so I can top it up where needed. They didn't have the pebbles we used in a few places so I can't top that up right now.
