Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 - thriving week 48

If you are celebrating, I hope you have a fun and loving Thanksgiving day.

We are heading to my DILs mother’s home for a family Thanksgiving. It is nice to be included and this time the pup will have a small puppy to hang out with. My pup is super friendly so that should work out well.

We are taking a charcuterie board appetizer so only assembly once there instead of cooking. I’d like to bake a pie or gallette to take but that contribution historically belongs to someone else lol. My son’s SIL confided it took her years to just announce she was bringing what she wanted to make instead of fitting into the historical menu. We tend to like to change things up but tradition is more important to others so thankfully appetizers have the most flex room.

This past week was a slow one between days of rain and the final days of my stinking cold which lasted the estimated 10-14 days for all the various types of colds. Between those two things we postponed Hubby’s birthday lunch by the bay and I cancelled my registration for the holiday card making class. The good news was that I had stocked up on Kleenex 😁

I did manage to start exercising again on Saturday, did a grocery run first thing Sunday for Thanksgiving supplies, and minimally kept up with family administrative tasks. I also tried out my new rain pants while dog walking and he sure does walk fast when it is raining versus the usual stop a million times. Lots of mindless but enjoyable reading and naps also happened while snuggling with the pup.

  2. Ooooooh, I hope there's a charcuterie board at my daughter's tomorrow. All I'm taking is chocolate bourbon pecan pie (or Derby pie as they call it in Kentucky). Since I've been working this week, she took pity on me.

Hope your day tomorrow is wonderful!
