Today was interesting and varied … but not quite what I had in mind.
Started with a dr appointment for a field of vision test which got delayed because someone else thought she had been called in and took the test I was supposed to be doing! 45 minutes after my appointment time I did the test and found out there are some problems developing with my right eye. Now to schedule the treatment soon.
After lunch we both got haircuts from our mobile hairdresser in her spiffy tricked out van. Sure is convenient if not luxurious.
And I’ve been texting with the electrician off and on to see when he will be here to at least diagnose the problem with our recessed lights in Hubby’s study. Just got a text saying he will be here in a couple of minutes.
Onward.
I got to help Harvey level the fridge today... Seems he forgot to do so when we first got it. Everything out, me using all my leg strength on the pry bar to hold it up on the floor and Harvey trying mightily to turn the levels. Then I loaded all his tools into his arms (why he needed so many I will never know) and put everything away once again. Oh well, at least the fridge is now clean, tidy and level.
ReplyDeleteThat took care of some of my quilting time so I still need to make and attach the binding. Tomorrow is another day.
God bless.
The joys of home ownership! Hope you didn’t strain anything.
DeleteSince COVID, I haven't had a decent haircut. My sister gave me my first cut. Then I decided to take matters into my own hands and made a mess which my sister had to "fix". I ended up with the shortest bob and the biggest butt to go with it. Finally, it has started to grow and look better. I am hoping to get a proper cut at the end of the winter. By then, I am hoping, more than 80% will have been vaccinated.
ReplyDeleteI chopped at my own hair at various points during the last 20 months and my DIL fixed it once. Lots of hairdressers and other service people here stopped working or changed type of work. This women gives an ok haircut and it is convenient but I miss a more stylish one.
DeleteSome days are truly an adventure. We never know what will pop up. I will never take my hairdresser for granted--ever again--considering how tough it was to cut my hair during Covid. Juhli, your hairdresser's van sounds interesting. Such a great service!
ReplyDeleteShe is providing a great service and can get plenty of business in a very small radius so her gasoline costs are minimal.
DeleteNever heard of a mobile hair saloon. I love the idea. Hope it catches on.
ReplyDeleteDang. Eye problems are the worst. No dental problems are the worst. No knee problems are the worst. Waiting at the doctor's office, any doctor's office, is the really the worst. Seriously, stay on top of the eye situation, as I know you will.
ReplyDeletePretty funny! My dr and dentist appointments do seem to get clustered together on the calendar but then I do all the routine preventative ones consistently. Have scheduled the eye treatment.
