My club is having a reopening part this Saturday and I need to make some cookies to take.
We will be providing drinks (sodas, water, lemonade) and ice cream sandwiches. I know at least one person is bringing brownies so that is off my list.
I was thinking about pumpkin ginger cookies but they don’t seem to mix with the other refreshments. Could fall back on oatmeal raisin but hoping for other ideas.
What kind of cookies would you like to find on the table at this party?
Juhli, I think it's hard to beat a homemade chocolate chip cookie or sugar cookie. I often make Rice Crispy treats during summer, simply because people enjoy them and they're easy. Another summer favorite is lemon bars--but they might be a bit messy. I hope your party is well attended and a real success!
ReplyDeleteJust had another suggestion. Fruit pizza is usually a big hit in the summertime, too. Now I'm craving desserts!
ReplyDeleteFruit pizza sounds yummy.
DeleteChocolate Chip Cookies or Peanut Butter Cookies. Yum! Have fun at the party!
ReplyDeleteI instantly thought chocolate but suspect everyone else will too! Love both of those.
DeleteBecause it has been a 100° week, and I have zero energy, the only cookie I could even think about making is a cake mix cookie. Stir together 1 box cake mix, 1/2 c vegetable oil, and 2 eggs, then add whatever seems to go best with the cake mix you used. I like chocolate cake mix with peanut butter chips; lemon cake mix with white chocolate chips; yellow cake mix with chocolate chips; spice cake mix with raisins and/or nuts...almost anything goes. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350° for about 12 minutes. Or pat out into a 9"x13" pan, bake, and cut into bar cookies. So, so easy, but still homemade. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is sounding like something I could actually do! Feeling a bit with too much to do at the moment. Thanks.
DeleteOOOOoooo, I love Kath's recipe. Late to the party so not sure what you went with but these cake mix cookies sound scrumptious. I like the idea of a spice cake mix with raisins or dates???
