UPDATE: I went to the library and they had a few of these. Decided Ranger Rick Jr was good for this birthday.
Still looking for ideas for future years.

Looking for ideas for a magazine subscription for my soon to be 3 year old granddaughter.
She is very interested in animals, insects, airplanes, science, and legos. Likes cooking, drawing, books, active outdoor play, going to the zoo or little farm, etc.
I've found these 3 so far:
- Ranger Rick Jr.
- National Geographic Little Kids
- High Five (Highlights preschool version)
Any experience with any of these? Other recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

My great nephews like Ranger Rick. I don't think you can go wrong with any of those you've mentioned.
ReplyDeleteI ended up ordering Ranger Rick Jr as it seemed to hit the right learning level the best of those I could view at the library.
DeleteThese are part of the Ranger Rick umbrella, but are also fun- https://www.zoobooks.com/
ReplyDeleteRanger Rick will be a lot like National Geo for Kids. Lots of animals, probably less text in Ranger Rick. Zoonooz is another cute animal magazine. You might look at Chirp magazine, too, for ages 3-6. I had Owl in the library and it was colorful and cute. Chirp looks like a younger version. Hope you find the perfect fit!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'll look at Zoonooz and Chirp too for later. I like that Ranger Rick Jr has 10 issues a year and a poster in each issue. More mail!
