Out of my Comfort Zone: Trying small new things in November

Thanks to Leslie for setting up this link and for being brave and sharing a very difficult situation that she is currently dealing with.

There was no planning involved in these, but they were small stretches out of my comfort zone for me.

I got a temporary gold tattoo on my forearm at my Granddaughter's birthday party. Very appropriately it says "Lets Party" and is still there just a bit.

I bought dried persimmons from a vendor at my local Saturday Farmer's Market. Hubby doesn't like them but I like the subtle flavor that only appears once you chew well. Sort of a fruit leather texture. You can see the seeds and beautiful interior design of the fruit. I'm enjoying them one at a time.

  1. Oh, a temporary GOLD tattoo! What a treasure. I think I could go in for a temporary tattoo myself. Especially a gold one. With some glitter for good measure?

I tried chipotle dried mango slices early this month. They were so scrumptious. I ate them very slowly as the small package was $9. So just a nibble every other day or so. But what a treat. Pretty sure I would enjoy these persimmons, too. We have a kitty named Purrsimmony! She probably wouldn't be too tasty, though.
Thank you for the mention and the support and friendship. My brother is just back from visiting my mom and she is much, much better today. Our prayers and good thoughts and the new medicine regimen are working.

    1. I'm so glad to hear that you Mom is doing better. Hugs for all. As for the tattoo, it was rather glittery and fun! I'll have to look for those mango slices.
