I'm looking at today and the entire day is free of scheduled activities including dinner as hubby is going out with an old friend. I'm torn between doing things that need to be done around the house or just taking off to do things I like. I know the poodle girl votes for several long walks and many sessions of throw the squeaky toy, but I'm not as enamored with those plans as she is. Almost all of my friends will be at work (note to self - need more retired or non-working friends!).
What do you do when you have a whole day to yourself? What ways to spend your time make you happiest? Love to have a discussion about this!

I love having the house and day to myself. Now that Master Bliss is retired, those days are far and few between. Usually I just like to stay at home--read, puddle, clean, lately cook. Today is one of those days and I am spending/wasting time on my blog trying to figure some stuff out. Grrrr. I think you should go see a movie! Or if you are trying not to spend, go to the library and get one for free so you can cuddle with your pooch and watch at home.
ReplyDeleteA movie sounds great. It is a beautiful day though so I think I'll try to spend some time outside with and without the dog, take myself out to eat and then perhaps a movie tonight.
DeleteHey there, I am a boomer Too! Hard to find other boomers in the world of blogs!
ReplyDeleteGo get a massage, mani and pedi and then take a nap! ;-)
Welcome! Looks from your blog like you are facing some tough decisions but have a great sense of humor! I didn't think about a massage - I think I need to find a less expensive option for that than the one I have used in the past and then put it on the list.
