Don't know what it was in July - the miserable weather, not feeling very energetic or what, but I generally just did what I had to and got by with that. Here at the start of August I feel better and the weather looks like it will be better, but no projects planned or major goals to share.
On the calendar - a jazz concert with the couple DH plays with and "Nana & Papa" camp for the soon to be 3rd grader on the 2 days before school starts on Wednesday the 13th. Otherwise playing it by ear.
Do you have any plans or goals for August that you are excited about?
Down here it just, finally, became warm enough in the evenings to picnic at our harbor, which we did last night. So, I'm actually thrilled August brought slightly warmer temps. Otherwise, we have lots of social plans on the books, plus I'm training for a Canada hiking event in just (gulp!) four weeks, so suspect August is going to fly.
ReplyDeleteIt's May and June here that drag, due to the gray skies. So that will likely become our preferred travel months going forward.
June is usually gray here too but was nice this year with July breaking a 30+ year old record for low temps with foggy/cloudy/windy days. We were just discussing whether it would be warm enough at lunchtime to sit outside at a restaurant!
DeleteI'm so happy that July is over, it was a booger and seemed to drag on forever. Plus the rains and floods were so awful. I purposely schedule nothing this month since my Fall is full-ish of concerts and such. We won't get Fall weather but I will still start placing little touches of it in the house. (:
ReplyDeleteThe flooding sounded horrible. Glad you have concerts and other fun things scheduled
DeleteI will be trying to get as much of the garden harvested and processed before we go away on the 30th (well actually the 29th as our plane leaves fairly early on the 30th). I am also trying to get lots of the August projects finished as well.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
You are always so productive!
DeleteI found July very long and difficult. Here in Montreal, Canada it was so hot 🔥 🥵 😫 and humid and then we had the bad air quality due to the wildfires. I felt very tired and had no energy.
ReplyDeleteThat does sound difficult
DeleteWe have a party to go to, which will be what I am looking forward to the most. Otherwise, I have been hoping to have a little on the horizon as you do!
ReplyDeleteA party sounds great
