A quieter week overall except for the local schools starting Tuesday and lots of middle schoolers walking by twice a day. We stayed mostly at home and enjoyed warmer weather.
1. A brief power outage Saturday that I only recognized was happening because of the clicking of things shutting off. The power company has an easy to use outage reporting tool online and then shows you a map of the outage and sends updates via email. We were on the periphery of the outage and got our power back rather quickly.
It showed me that one of our plug in emergency lights needs replacement so I ordered 2 so the garage could have one too.
2. We both were motivated to do some pruning and I spread the third & last bag of bark to top up where it had gotten low.
3. We also scheduled the arborist to come give us an estimate on pruning the trees we planted and the giant oak growing over the fence from the back neighbors.
4. The pup and I met the new neighbors on the other side of the street who say they are moving in a month or so. They both seem friendly, very cheerful and young lol. The house was sold over 2 months ago so we have been curious.
5. Lunch with our son at the brewery with outdoor seating. No Pilates as trainer has COVID as a result of her vacation - yikes, it is trending up here. Dog "spa day" on Thursday - he was so happy as usual.
Lunch at a brewery is one of my favorite things and it sounds like you had a nice visit! {P.S. I think the "blogger" who commented twice before I did is a scammer of sorts. I got the same two comments on one of my posts today.}
ReplyDeleteYes, I keep reporting them but it keeps popping up periodically.
DeleteI don't think Covid will ever completely go away, I just hope that it gets less and less dangerous.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
We have always seemed to buy houses in well established neighborhoods, and were usually the youngest family on the street. We loved our older neighbors who watched out for us and our children, shared stories of the neighborhood before we got there, and took delight in talking to our children. Hope your new neighbors are great ones!
ReplyDeleteps: we are no longer the youngest ones on the street! LOL
We too love a neighborhood of mixed ages, etc. I think I am the oldest one on our block lol.
DeleteYour very last sentence is my favorite. 🙂
ReplyDeleteHe literally jumps for joy when he sees his groomer! Such a people dog
