1. Accepted a bowl of snap peas from our son's family garden. We served in salads and steamed with carrots as a side dish and froze the extra.
2. Bought day old bakery bagels at the coffee shop - still pricy but discounted. We freeze them and eat half a bagel at a time as they are hearty.
3. Signed up for two 4 week health challenges through Kaiser which if completed will earn $40 towards health care costs and which I will apply to my prescriptions. Doing this as I need to focus on exercise and weight anyway so why not get paid to do so.
4. I bought an external DVD player for my laptop so I can borrow DVDs from the library. Sadly it didn't work well but I will return for a refund.
5. Found a dime and a quarter bringing my found money total so far this year to a whopping 52 cents.
Too bad about the dvd player - I was just talking to someone about getting one of those. I think my next new computer will have one built in.
ReplyDeleteUh-oh. I ordered an external dvd player for the same reason, and never tested it. Return window has passed. I am the world's worst at letting new items sit and not test.
ReplyDeleteIt connected fine but the button to open it didn't work when I tried to remove the DVD. I decided I didn't want to pay for something I had to use a bent paperclip to open.
DeleteSorry that the DVD player did not work as it should have. I bought one awhile ago and mine works very well.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
