Just anxious a bit about the morning's surgery. Or more honestly, about the pain and recovery process.
As always little poodle girl was game to get up too but quickly curled up and went back to sleep. I distracted myself from feeling hungry (no food before surgery!) by scrolling through the internet.
It finally was time to shower at 5am and then we headed out for the hospital and check in. This is outpatient surgery so a quick stay.
Surgery scheduled for 7:30am on my theory of it is best to be the first operation of the day. It all went well and now the slog through healing and physical therapy. The nurses were talking about what a great surgeon my podiatrist is so I lucked out picking him.
Back later. Hope you all are well.
Hi Juhli, I am praying for a full and easy recovery for you. That is a plus it was outpatient surgery so you can be home in your comfy surroundings.

DeleteLove these day surgeries. My husband had a laminectomy two weeks ago and I am having my hip replaced in August - both day surgeries. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteThe number and type of procedures that can be done as outpatient is rather mind boggling. So much better not to have to stay in the hospital. Good luck with your hip replacement.
DeleteGlad it's over. Let the healing begin!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're home recuperating. Hope it all continues to go well. take care
