52 Projects Sunday
It has been a while since I did an update on this and I know I am still a bit behind schedule but that is ok. I am up to project 14. Unfortunately, two of my projects were related to my Mom's death but they had to be done.
The new screen for the French press speaks to the wonders of online shopping. I was able to order the part and it arrived two days later. No more worries about pieces of metal shredding into our coffee in the morning and no replacement of the perfectly fine other parts of the press.
12. Helped prepare Mom's house for sale
13. Unpacked and put away items brought home from Mom's house
14. Replaced screen on French press
My 52 weeks of decluttering project took a numerical set back due to the items I kept from my Mom's house. Currently my tally shows 178 items have left our home and 92 came in (not counting replacements or consumables). So I am only at 86 items decluttered out of my goal of 365.

I'm impressed by your commitment to decluttering. Our progress on that front just took a big hit over the wknd. -- my daughter came home with a U-Haul and dropped off a load of boxes and suitcases, along with a few pieces of furniture. She assures me this is a "temporary" situation. I sure hope she's right!
ReplyDeleteI like it when you can get hold of small parts to make things work good as new again, so many people would just throw it away and get a new one, such a waste of resources. Sorting your mum's house out is a mammoth task achieved!
