Today I ...

had a wonderful time spending an hour working with the framing consultant at Michaels picking out mat colors and sizes, deciding how to position my artwork in the mat and generally losing myself in visual and color fun.

So despite us both wearing masks it was a creative and right brain pleasure.

Now on to the left brain part as I have to cut the artwork to fit myself as they aren't allowed to do so.

  1. Hope this is one of your watercolors!! Can't wait to see the framed art. I enjoy selecting mats and frames, too. So many choices!! I always appreciate the professional's guidance.

    1. The man helping me seemed to be enjoying it too as I was asking his opinion and advice. I am framing two colored pencil drawings that may have looked like ware colors. Also two pencil drawings going in one frame. I was able to use frames we have though.

  2. It's always fun to see a painting married up with a frame. It can makes a huge difference. Can't wait to see it when you finish.

  3. I can never seem to get the mats the colour I want. Perhaps a trip to Michael's for ideas is in my future.

    God bless.
