Technology - smack forehead!

 I was so pleased that I managed to get my new phone operating and the SIM card in and new provider account set up. But wait, there is a problem with the old provider transferring the number because one question in the transfer process was what is your billing Zip code not what zip code is on your old phone. 

Now waiting for the escalate the problem ticket # at the new provider to get worked and for my old provider to do its bit.

I have to say though that Mint Mobile provides you with a temporary phone number while the number transfer is in process so I will just carry both phones until it is done.

  1. You are a brave lady. I just let my cell provider change the SIM card and do the phone number thing. Just call me chicken.

    1. Well, they won’t put in the SIM card but are trying to get my current number transferred over. I misunderstood what was being asked in one question on the form and that slowed this all dow. Right now I have two cell phones and two phone numbers plus our home phone. Fingers crossed it will be resolved soon. Can’t be the first one to answer that question wrong lol.

  3. My phone is acting up, and I dread the new phone set up process. UGH! I'll be sorry if I wait till it doesn't work when I really, really need it.

    1. Yes, do act while it still works. I finally acted because I kept getting notices that my phone would no longer work shortly.

  4. Technology. How many tears have I shed in its name??? Just bought a new laptop, though, and had my faith partially restored. It was so easy to get set up and begin using. Hope your phone issues are soon and fairly painlessly resolved.
