Obsolescence has rendered our printer inoperable so we need to buy a new one for home use. Not heavy printers but want the scan and copy capabilities too. Ink costs are a factor along with initial cost.
We bought a Brothers MFC that scans, faxes, and copies and we are very happy with it. Ours prints in only black ink and the cartridge is reasonably priced. We found that our color cartridges were drying up before they were used. Have followed your move with interest.
I've used Lexmark all in one printers for years. My latest one scans, copies, can email and of course print. It'll print on both sides of paper. The cartridges are $140 about but they last me a year to a year and a half - and I print a few pages almost every day.

ReplyDeleteGood question... I'll be interested in hearing other opinions. I mostly print in black too.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the recommendation. I'll take a look at those.
Deleteoh, it's also wireless so all the PCs and phones can send docs to it for printing
ReplyDeleteI have a wireless Canon all-in-one; it is 4 years old and still going strong, and originally cost $133.
ReplyDeleteOur current one is a Canon all-in-one and I was very happy with it until Windows and cable co. changes rendered it obsolete.
