New Car - We found one & bought it yesterday

A full weekend with date night babysitting, family birthday party and full on kid birthday party. In the midst of all of that we bought a car - a Honda HRV Sport. Not a hybrid but the right size, comfortable and easy for us to transition to. Hubby is very happy; I'm not into cars but delighted we found one and can move on. Now to connect with the other driver's claim person, return the rental, and dispose of our totaled old car.

  2. Good for you, getting it done - I'm not into cars either, but I like the problem being SOLVED.

    1. Hubby was very stressed as we kept eliminating cars. He is happy with this one - I'm totally neutral and would have liked to get something smaller but its all fine.

  3. I think my next car will be the same one, a Honda CRV or the one you bought. Is it new? or used new? The other one I'm thinking about is the Honda Odyssey, so that I can sleep in it if I keep wanting to camp. For now, I have what I have, so hopefully the new car is a ways away still.

    1. We bought an HRV which is gas only and smaller than the CRV. Our street is narrow and our driveway small plus we basically just drive short distances.

  4. Thankful that this whole process has been easier than you might have anticipated. I have had too many car wrecks and for the most part, they have been fairly easy to settle, but the whole thing is so nerve racking. Starting with the moment you realize you are going to be in an accident and that HORRIBLE sound of the crash itself. Thankful you guys were not hurt. Sounds like the hubs really likes this new car and that will make things easier, too. XO

    1. Nerve wracking is right - the adrenaline surge and crash for sure.

  5. Congrats on the new car. I still have things on mine that I haven't figured out yet. Why oh why don't include printed manuals with new car purchase anymore?

    1. Hah - we got a printed one that is 530 pages long and pretty incomprehensible and in tiny print. Relying on online videos for the most part.

    1. YouTube videos are pretty much our first choice for learning anything technical or fix-it these days.
