2. The grandgirl was happy with her party and gifts. Mostly she was so happy to hang out with her little besties.
3. Hummingbirds are starting their northern migration and I have seen a few tiny ones around!
4. We found a way to donate the old car to benefit The American Diabetes Association which is a great outcome. The process was super easy. We also found out how much our auto insurance will increase because of having a new car. The unknown is how much the accident will cause it to increase. Now to get comfortable driving the new car in all situations and learn how to the technology and safe driving features.
5. The sewer lines in our area are getting a new liner and every house's connection has to be redone. Our street's work started yesterday! So much digging.

It will be fun to plan some short jaunts to get used to the new car. I remember doing just that when I bought mine a year ago. I do not envy the sewer line mess - hopefully an improvement to the overall system will be worth it!
ReplyDeleteWe do really appreciate that they are proactively dealing with old infrastructure. Living on a narrow dead end street is a challenge but they have tried hard to let cars in and out. We were able to not drive till today and moved our car before they started.
DeleteOur city does a few streets a year for sewer and water, but anything that is on our property we need to pay for on our own. I am a bit worried that our aging sewer line will need to be replaced.
ReplyDeleteI am happy you are feeling better.
God bless.
Same here - we had to replace the sewer line from the house to the main line when we bought it. This was lining the main line and reconnecting each house line. That extends the life of the pipe is my understanding. It must be over 75 years old at least.
DeleteHappy birthday to the youngest grandgirl! Three year olds are the BEST! And I love that you donated your car for a cause!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteGlad you're feeling better. Being around that many people probably did it. We've donated a car before( my dodge caravan) to the radio station KXPR. It was easy!! When I had the asshole who said I scratched his car door when I opened mine ( which I did not and is a scheme people door called door dings), my Allstate went up crazy$$$. I was pretty upset since I've never had an accident in driving almost 60 years. I hope yours doesnt go up too much. I'll be getting the renewal soon for the next six months so I hope it goes down some.
ReplyDeleteSorry abut your experience with Allstate. We expect ours to go up substantially despite having no claims in 40 years.
