Five on Friday

1. We are off to Palm Springs tomorrow for our niece's wedding. It looks like it will not be as hot as feared - but still hot.

2.  I borrowed a Sawzall with a pruning blade from our son. We had a shrub we planted that really needs to grow larger than works for where was planted. We took it out and will replace it with something that stays small. Returned the Sawzall and borrowed a pole trimmer to cut back 2 branches on a neighbor's tree that are getting too close to our house.

3. The painter started on our patio yesterday and will be finished before we get back hopefully.

4. I am very glad we have a good appliance repair person who told us it wasn't worth the cost to replace the circulating pump in the dishwasher that came with our house. Sadly it's only 3 years old but .... apparently not a good one. He told us what he recommends as a replacement and that this problem will eventually cause a leak. Something else to think about when we get back.

5. Got quite a bit on my to do list done this month - especially pleased about socializing/connecting more

• Sink caulk replaced by Hubby
• Picked paint for patio & work done by painter
• Disposed of old computer & peripherals
• Cleaned & decluttered 4 more kitchen drawers
• Finished all prep for attending wedding
• Lunch out & gallery show with a friend
• Lunch out with Hubby
• Letters to two friends
• Spent quality and quantity time with local family
