  3. Oh my, what a beautiful beach! We're back here in Illinois, and it's 30 degrees this morning. If I recall, Juhli, you were originally from the midwest. Bet you don't miss our winters here!

    1. I don't miss Illinois weather. I did grow up in Champaign but went away to college and never moved back. I do have many happy memories of playing in the snow, ice skating on the yard after an ice storm, and the way the sun made the snow sparkle.

  4. What's not to love?? Our mornings have been cold @37 but by afternoon 60 degrees, so nice. We sat outside and had a fire for the solstice it was nice.

    1. Sounds lovely and of course you are much nearer the snowy parts of California than we are. Decades ago we had a lovely pre-Christmas trip to stay on snowy Yosemite Valley. Great fun. Easy to go skiing even in S Cal too.

  5. ~-10C last night as we circled the solstice fire. Gorgeous winter night in NE Alberta. Cloud cover so no sighting of the alignment of the planets.

  6. I love snow but in small doses which is probably why it is such a special treat to me. We only get small doses here. Paul says all the time that he doesn't miss the winters of Ohio.
