I'm having a difficult time today being my usual optimistic self. Part of it is that I am leaving shortly to go to a funeral for the son of a friend. Part of it is the gloomy weather. Part of it is too much time at the computer and not accomplishing anything. Don't know what the rest of it is.
Any tried and true cures for the temporary gloomy feelings? Tomorrow will be better I'm sure.

You know...it's Okay to have a bad day...sometimes life just stinks and there is no way around it. Try to spend some time remembering the life lost and concentrate on how to be there for your friend. Then tomorrow rejoice in the blessings you have around you...but never apologize for having a bad day...we all do...and its ok.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam. I am glad I went to the funeral - my friend was pleased that I was there. I didn't know her son but wish I had. I have to remind myself to kick myself out the door to walk to dog, etc. on gloomy days whether caused by weather or otherwise.

ReplyDeleteI know how you feel about the gloom. I'm always a little down in the autumn and then Monday it was 45 degrees with gray skies all day. It's hard to get motivated to do anything on a day like that.
I have discovered that going out for a little walk, even just around the yard, helps. Inside the house it feels cold and gloomy but outside the weather is bracing.
